An important Hindu ritual, Gauri Parvati Vrata is observed by girls. In our school all the girls who ware not that much little were done that fast. A unique tradition followed during this course of five days. All the girls observing Gauri Vrata grow corn shoots in a small pot. Each day worshipped maa Gauri with puja thali, lamp, Abil, Gulal and nagla chunri and pray welfare for her life. At last day on purnima to end the vrat girls performed ‘Gorma Puja’ and ‘cow puja’ and also bid farewell to goddess parvati. All girls enjoyed this vrata too much. Family of sun flower school liked  this five day celebration Gauri Vrata.

Christmas

Christmas is a sacred festival of the Christians. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety all over the world. It is observed on 25th December to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Sunflower school also celebrated Christmas with great pomp and enthusiasm. All students had to come with new dresses. One teacher made Sants Claus, she had given gift to all students. Also school decorated Christmas tree with flowers and lights then all heard Christmas song and done dance. They hugged each other and give gifts each other. Principal, teachers and whole Sunflower staff were busy to arrange all the facilities of that festival Sunflower school enjoyed Christmas heartily.

Janmashtami

Janmashtami or Gokulashtami as it is popularly known in whole India is a festival of joy and gaiety. It celebrates with great pomp and show, the birth of lord Krishna who was born more than 5000 years ago in the 28th year of Dwapar Yug. It is one of the most celebrated festivals for Hindus not only in India but also all over the world. Janmashtami is about the joy, people all over the world feel for their beloved Lord Krishna.

                        We also celebrated this festival in our Sun Flower Pre-School. We celebrated this with lots of joy and full of zeal. Each and every student had come in the dress of Krishna and Radha. Even teachers also wore a dress of Radha. Our school looked like vrindavan because of the decoration and all things which was related to Krishna. Than we celebrated Krishna Janm than we all play Garba and enjoy every moment of that day. We can’t forget that day. Even our schools Trusty and principal gave us full support to celebrate this festival. At last we all sing one song

Holi

Holi is a festival of colors which generally falls on a full moon in March. It is also a festival of love and celebrates the good over evil. The festival is celebrated with lot of pomp in whole India.

Every year we arranged Holi celebration in our school, by the permission of principal. Our school takes lot of colors which are not danger to students’ skin. All hearts are light with glory and whole school staff, students, principal enjoy with each other with different colors. Students also throw water balloons on other students and on teachers too. All enjoy a lot with their friends and with teachers. Sunflower school is paint by different colors. At last we celebrated Holi with gaity and full of enthusiasm.

Independence Day

15th of August 1947 is an important is important day for all Indians. On that day Indians got freedom the British. The union Jack was brought down and for the first time our national flag flew the Red Fort, Delhi. Achieving independence was not easy. It was achieved by great efforts made by leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhash Chandra bose and many more.

We celebrated Independence day in our school. Our principal first worshipped our national flag then hoisted. After flag hoisting our school arranged one illocution competition. Every teachers had to speak about the any one freedom fighter or our country India. Principal distribute one photocopy of freedom fighter to each students.

Rakshabandhan

The festival of Rakshabandhn is entirely dedicated to the love and affection shared between a brother and a sister. On this day, sisters pray for long life of their brother and ask God to bless them with his blessings, brothers in turn. Give them rakhi gifts and promise to case life long. This custom has been there since time immemorial. Various other believes are associated with Rakhi and therefore, people follow certain custom and tradition to celebrate this festival.

  Here in our sunflower school principal arranged rakhi day in school. All the boys had to take gifts with them and all the girls had to take one rakhi. One thing is very interesting that every girl’s had to made rakhi own self. All the Rakhis are very beautiful. Boys had taken their gifts like earing, hair pin, necklace, pen box, color box and jwellary etc. After this each and every students celebrated this Rakhi Day with very enthusiast. Our school trusty, Principal and all the teachers are also involved & celebrated this Rakhi day with full of joy.
